Start the year off right with a $200 gift card to the outdoor retailer of your choice, brought to you by Kia in celebration of the all-new 2011 Kia Sorento. In anticipation of the January launch, they are sponsoring a CampingBlogger contest for a $200 gift card to the winner’s choice: REI, Hudson Trail Outfitters, L.L. Bean, or Patagonia.
To enter, visit www.kiasorento.com and checkout the new model, then leave a comment here, telling us what you like best about the 2011 Sorento. Only one comment per person, please. In addition to your entry here on CampingBlogger, though, you can also tweet a link to this post and include the hashtag #sorentocamp for an additional entry (one entry per Twitter ID will be counted). Be sure to use the #sorentocamp hashtag, or I won’t be able to find your tweet with Twitter Search. A shortened URL to this post is http://bit.ly/4EowIl.
The all-new 2011 Kia Sorento is manufactured in West Point, GA and, for us family campers, features seating for seven and split-fold seating for plenty of room for gear. I love that it’s made right here in The USA!
I gotta agree…the fact that it seats 7, yet still doesn’t look like a BEAST on the road!
It’s made in America!!! (and it just looks cool)

I really like that the new 2011 Kia Sorento has a lot of great safety features, like the side curtain airbags in the 1st & 2nd rows. That would make any Mom like me feel safer when driving family around.

Beautiful styling and the best is it has Sirius radio! I can’t live without my Sirius.
I like the interior space and the reinforced body structure. Safety is a big concern after being in an accident this last year. It also looks cool!
Keep building them in the USA!!!!

I Love the spec on the new Kia! We had an ’08 and are ready to upgrade to the ’11 for the better gas mileage and wonderful power for the not too bulky size!
And of course, as others have said, being made in America is a wonderful bonus for our economy!
Thanks!
Sophie @sophiesogood 🙂
With three kids, the seating for seven is a great way to ensure each of the kids has their own space!
I like that it is made in America.

I like it cause it is built in West Point, GA not far from where we live.
There is so much I love about the 2010 Sorento! Number of course is the SAFETY for my family (dual front & seat mounted airbags), the 10 yr. 100,000 mile warranty and of course the styling (LOVE the bright silver!)
I tweeted about this also!

The quality and styling
American made and plenty of room to keep some space between the kids!
Gosh, our family loves to camp and I ran across this while on twitter. I’m victoria99999 and I Retweeted. 🙂
Safety, Styling and Quality – Simplified.
The Kia Sorrento – simply the right car at the right time. By Americans, for Americans.

I like the gas mileage, the color choices, and the fact that it is made in America.
I like that it gets decent gas mileage!
I like that is has a usable third row seat.
Right – I’d like to see one, but it looks good. Our kids are going to rebel, one of these days (the 3rd row in our SUV is kids-only!).
The EX V6 gets decent gas mileage
Good power, nice size, not too small not too big

I Like that even the EX V6 gets decent gas mileage (20/26)
Definitely better than our little V6 SUV, which gets around 21 on the highway.
I love that it comfortably seats 7. Between the 3 growing boys, their friends, the dog & us, we need lots of room!
Us too, Lisa – I remember when we were doing dual carseats with our girls. Those things took up so much room!
I like that the Kia is still proudly made in AMERICA!
I cannot argue with that, Melissa!

I like that the backup camera. It’s great for those who have trouble driving and recently backed into the best buy wall at The Cambridgeside Galleria Mall!
Oops! Sorry about that, Andrea. Thanks for the tweet!
I love the push button start with smart key option.
I’ve used that on my parent’s car, Kimberly, and it’s more convenient and useful than I thought it would be.
